Privacy Policy

Effective 10 September 2026 · Last updated 10 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DragonSpecs LLC ("DragonSpecs", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Raccoonauts (the "Service"). It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you register, we collect your email address. We use passwordless sign-in, so we send you a login link by email rather than storing a password you choose.
  • Content you create. The scenes, models, worlds, avatars (including your raccoon), and other material you make or upload, along with related metadata (such as titles, tags, and whether you published or shared it).
  • Usage and device information. When you use the Service, our servers automatically record standard log data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages or actions, timestamps, and referring pages.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. See Section 4.
  • Payment information. If you purchase a paid feature, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store full payment-card numbers; we receive limited transaction details (such as a confirmation and the last digits or card type) from the processor.
  • Communications. If you contact us, we keep your messages and contact details to respond and keep records.

2. How we use information

  • to provide, operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • to authenticate you and send login links and service-related messages;
  • to store, display, and — where you choose — publish, share, and enable remixing of your content;
  • to prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
  • to process payments for paid features;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Where required by law, our legal bases for processing are: performing our contract with you (providing the Service), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), your consent (where we ask for it), and compliance with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:

  • with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service (for example, hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, and payment processing), under obligations to protect it;
  • with other users, to the extent you choose to publish, share, or allow remixing of your content (published content and associated display names may be visible to others);
  • for legal reasons, if we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of DragonSpecs, our users, or the public;
  • in a business transfer, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to sign you in and keep the Service secure. Because it is essential to operate the Service, it is set when you use the Service; if you block it, you may not be able to sign in or use core features. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your content or account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable time, except for residual copies retained in routine backups for a limited period, content you published or that others have remixed, and information we must keep by law.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email nick@raccoonauts.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You can also delete your account at any time.

  • EEA/UK users. You may have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • California users. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may have rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of it. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. International transfers

We operate in the United States, and the information we collect may be processed and stored there or in other countries that may have different data- protection laws than yours. Where required, we take steps to provide an appropriate level of protection for international transfers.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the "Last updated" date above or posting a notice in the Service. Changes are effective when posted unless stated otherwise.
